Cadet's Ranks

	--> Lance Corporal	Due: December For Promotion from PTE to LCP, cadets are expected to: Pass Part A proficiency Test consisting of the following: 1 Turnout and Bearing 2 Foot Drill Attend Camp FORGE or camp conducted by school unit Achieve Bronze award for Total Defence.
	--> Corporal	Due: December For promotion from LCP to CPL, cadets are expected to Pass the Part B Proficiency Test consisting of: 1 Turnout and Bearing 2 Arms Drill 3 IFC Pass M16/SAR21 Classification Test (IMT) Attend Part B Camp (Camp STEEL) Pass NAPFA test
	--> 3rd Sergeant	Due: June/September Cadet must: Pass Part C Proficiency Test + mutual test Pass Sec 2 NAPFA Test Have a good attendance of at least 80% in school. Pass Part B M16/SAR21 Classification Test Upon successful completion of Specialist Course.
	--> 2nd Sergeant	Due: December Cadets can be promoted in December if they: Participate in any of the following: NCC Day Parade NCC Day Display SYFOC Day Parade National Day Parade School Ceremonies National Camp Achieved an attendence of at least 80% in school Achieved Silver Award for Total Defence Are recommended by CO
	--> 1st sergeant	Due: November Cadets must: Pass the Specialist Course in June or September Pass the Sec 3 NAPFA Test Pass the M16/SAR21 Classification Test Have participated in any of the following: NCC Day Parade NCC Day Display SYFOC Day Parade National Day Parade School Ceremonies National Camp Have a good attendance of at least 80% Achieved Gold Award for Total Defence Be recommended by the CO
	--> Staff Sergeant	Due: September Cadets must: Attend the Senior Specialist Course Pass NAPFA Test(Silver) Attend OBS or Mt Ophir or other approved adventure training
	--> Master Sergeant	Due: November Cadet must: Be appointed USM/Assistant USM of School Unit. Be recommended by Unit CO Be approved by Commandant
